William Freethy Cornwall 1613 Cornwall Baptized at Landrake in August 1613. The surname has been connected to Cornish freth (“eager, fluent”), but not definitively. Cornish had long retreated from Landrake by the time of his birth, but his name in Cornish would be Wella Frydhi.
